My Story

I am so excited you are here and I invite you to look around…

I’m a single mom and new empty nester to three girls, 22, 19 and 18 (Go Hawkeyes, Gophers and Badgers). They inspire me every day to keep going, keep making this world a better place for them and be the best role model I can be.  I am a hopeless romantic, love to travel and see the world (would love to do more of this), cozy up with a good book, sweat it out in the sauna, wear my heart on my sleeve and am a believer. I truly believe mindset is key and love to surround myself with good people (I have the best family and friends and consider myself blessed)

I have been divorced for 12 years now and have been an entrepreneur for 16 years. After graduation from college with a degree in Psychology I worked in the business world and never felt fulfilled.  After Sawyer was born, I found very quickly I wanted to stay home with her…it was where my heart was and was non-negotiable for me. Therefore, I worked as a waitress on the weekends, had two more daughters, but still wanted to be home with my girls. Photography had always been a passion for me so I decided to make it a business so I could work from home, care for my girls and make money and that is what I did. In 2007 I launched my photography business and it has been going strong ever since. My entrepreneurial heart has guided all my career choices. I have been capturing memories for families in the Lake Country area for the past 16 years and it truly fills me with so much joy and love.  Many of my clients have become great friends over the years and I love that I get to make connections with people.  I have always said PEOPLE are my passion and I truly believe that. My clients feel like “family” and I cherish each and everyone of them.
