Kelly’s Style
Kelly’s style is casual, fun, and laid back. She will show up for your session dressed ready to play with your children. Kelly will never ask them to say “cheese.” Instead she will encourage them to play in an area with good light and just interact with them. Often Kelly finds that children do better if mom and dad are in another room not watching. Kelly really strives to get eye contact from children and have them connect with her and the camera, therefore please don’t be surprised if she asks to spend time without you in the area. When working with a family Kelly likes to capture families “together.” She will have you play with your children and suggest a few things to do. Kelly will take a few more posed pictures, but really like to focus on your interacting as a family.
Seniors are a ton of fun too! Kelly has favorite local places to capture your senior and loves to explore new areas too if you have ideas. This is a once in a lifetime moment in your child’s life…lets capture some amazing memories!
The Details
In order to provide each family with outstanding service and attention to detail Kelly only take on a limited number of portrait sessions a month and typically book 4 to 6 weeks in advance. August through December is an extremely busy time of year so please plan ahead and book portrait sessions early. It breaks her heart to have to say “I’m booked.” Most of Kelly’s clients purchase wall portraits 11×14 or larger with a variety of mounting to decorate their home and of course some smaller gift portraits for family and friends. Gift portraits begin at $49 and clients typically spend $1000-$2000 on portraits. Digital Collections begin at $1000 and includes keepsake portraits as well…contact Kelly for details.
Portrait sessions take place on location. Pick a favorite place special to you or ask Kelly for help choosing the ideal setting for your session.
Family/Child /Newborn/ High School Senior Session Fee: $200weekday/$250 weekend
The session fee covers pre-session consultation (in person or on the phone); travel to and from your location of choice, up to 1.5 hours of photographing. During the pre-session consultation clothing, overall portrait style and expectations are discussed. This consultation is a key ingredient in creating your ideal portrait experience. It is one of Kelly’s favorite appointments because she gets to meet you for the very first time..even if just on the phone. Therefore, at your portrait session you are like old friends. Approximately two weeks after your portrait session your images will be ready for on line viewing. You will receive an email from Kelly with directions on how to view your portraits. An in person ordering session or phone appointment to discuss options is always available. We are creating art work for your home.
The session fee does not include any prints. The session is designed for one immediate family.
Kelly does ask one thing of you. Be ready to have fun with your kids and be open minded. Please don’t stress at all and remember this experience should be full of laughs.
Newborn Sessions are best scheduled within child’s first week of life. It is important to contact Kelly before the birth of your child. She will note your due date to ensure availability in her schedule. Be sure to notify Kelly as soon as possible after the birth of your child. A session during the first week of life is the best. Older newborns do not tend to sleep as much. Newborns are photographed in your home. Lots of breaks are taken for feeding and snuggles. Baby runs the show so these sessions can be up to 2 hours, however, Kelly LOVES newborns and this time is so special to her and for you so please no worries about time….it is a time to capture the newness and tininess of these precious gifts.
There is an additional fee for travel more than 30 miles from Oconomowoc.
Other Notes
All images are guaranteed to meet your expectations or Kelly will reprint them free of charge with in 30 days of receiving them. Kelly guarantees her work 100%. Please note that Kelly does not refund because of hair or outfit disappointments. It is very important that those details are discussed and workout before your session.
Seniors it is your responsibility to check with your high school that your yearbook picture was received by the deadline.
Prices are subject to change and 5.1% Wisconsin sales tax is added to all orders.
Payment types include cash or check. If you would like to use PayPal or Venmo a 5% service fee is applied to your order.
Prints are available for pick up four weeks after order is placed. Some items may take up to eight weeks.
All money is due at the time your order is placed and all sales are final.
All portraits purchased are archived for one year. Any portraits not ordered are purged.
